Goldin & Stafford Newsletter December 2020 PROJECT SPOTLIGHT 500 Penn – Union Market Our most recent project at Union Market – 500 Penn. The GC is John Moriarty. Performing excavation in the Union Market area is no easy task. Tight footprints, heavy traffic, pedestrians, coordinating trucks, no staging, etc. Everyone has been teaming up to keep this project moving along. Moriarty has expressed their gratitude towards how well our crews have been pushing the schedule forward. A big shout out to our flaggers, Chariece Harkum & Tyshawn Carr. Both were recognized by Moriarty and given awards for keeping the jobsite safe. Congratulations and thank you for doing such an outstanding job! We are working hand and hand with Clark foundations, which has been a good fit for both companies. This has been a great Moriarty team to work with, along with all of the other contractors on site. Sometimes it all just works! Vinnie Stafford is the superintendent on this project and has the site in top shape. Oscar Alcantara has been the excavator operator for most of the job and has been navigating this tricky site with ease. Lewis Brooks has done a phenomenal job keeping the County happy and on marginal weather days or the next day after a significant weather event, we have been able to haul to PG County. This is a huge deal and keeps us on schedule. Our new sweeper truck is key with cleaning up the roads to allow us to haul. Another difficult task! This job is off to a smooth start and our client is very pleased. All in a good days work. Thank you 500 Penn crew!! Don’t forget to “Like” us on Facebook! GOLDIN & STAFFORD |
